You can just catch a split-second shift after the light changes.
Wouldn’t want to put unnecessary wear on the throw out bearing...

ha - my 12 yo nephew (not very oppo yet - wants an electric Kia Soul - but give him time,) when he was out here a few weeks ago asked me why I wobble the shift lever back and forth a bit every time I start the car. And I couldn’t really explain why other than it’s cool and it confirms the car is not in gear . Does anybody else do this or are Clive Owen and me just OCD? Love that vid...
